About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) details an emergency HVAC repair project for the US Department of Agriculture (USDA) Forest Service at the Dolores Public Lands Office in Colorado. The project requires removing and replacing the existing Carrier HVAC unit, which has failed and can no longer provide cooling to the entire structure. The contractor must purchase a new package outdoor HVAC unit matching or upgrading the existing unit's specifications, including a 35-ton capacity, natural gas fuel, 480V three-phase electrical supply, and Variable Frequency Drive motors.
The scope includes installing a new computerized, remotely accessible control system, maintaining all baffles and control boxes, and ensuring correct airflow in all zones. Additional requirements include installing new communication sensors at zone thermostats, creating Carrier automation graphics, and providing a final Test and Balance report. The contractor must possess valid electrical and plumbing licenses in Colorado, comply with current International Plumbing, Mechanical, and Electrical Codes, and follow all technical specifications. Submittals include a project schedule, subcontractor identification, manufacturer information, and warranty documentation.
