About this file

This document contains a series of 13 questions and answers related to an HVAC system project. Key details include: one superintendent can fulfill supervision, safety, and QAQC roles; contractors are not required to issue contract-specific QA/QC or Safety Plans; the project is not tax exempt. The existing mechanical plans from 2004 are accurate for valve box and bypass valve quantities. There is currently no remote Building Automation System (BAS), and a new 600 VAC - 200A disconnect is not required.

The project involves HVAC system upgrades with specific requirements: all VVT boxes and bypass dampers are operational, though VVT box communication should be verified; the new HVAC system is the only required component for the BAS, with additional equipment integration considered a bonus. No existing As-Built Drawings are available, and alternative HVAC equipment models to Carrier will be accepted if they meet similar specifications. The responses suggest this is a preliminary information gathering document for potential contractors to understand project parameters and conditions.
