Statement of Need

For

60 MXS/MXMCF

60th Maintenance Squadron Aircraft Fuels Systems CTK section has a need for a standardized etching system for our tools and equipment. Currently the shop is hand etching most tools and equipment which does not always produce neat and consistent results, to avoid issues with MXG Quality Assurance inspection programs and overall tool accountability (AFI 21-101) we need to purchase a laser etcher system. This is a Brand name or equal requirement.

The contractor shall provide the following:

1. Equipment.

1.1 Contractor shall deliver within 10-12 weeks after contract award.

1.2 Contractor will deliver to 310 Boyles Street Travis AFB CA, 94535

1.3 Fiber Marking Machine & enclosure station with 100 WATT Marking power and 420mm Lens or equal.

1.3.1 Must meet the following specifications: Laser Etcher must be able to clearly mark tools ranging in size from standard hand tools to large specialty equipment items needed to perform various aircraft inspection, troubleshooting and maintenance tasks on C-5, C-17 and KC-46 aircraft.
