About this file

This document is an attachment titled "Attachment 2 - Salient Characteristics" that describes the required specifications for electromagnetic spectrum operations (EMSO) kits needed to support tactical operations in Eastern Europe. The EMSO kits must be compatible with NIPR-approved RFeye/Mission Manager software using VITA 49 protocols and include a single-channel receiver with switchable RF inputs, a frequency range of 9 kHz to 18 GHz, a 100 MHz instantaneous bandwidth, 1 Hz tuning resolution, and programmable sweep modes. The kits require an Intel E3845 quad-core processor, network and USB connectivity, and environmental specifications for operating temperature, storage temperature, and ingress protection. This requirement is in support of a pre-solicitation for "Equipment for Tactical EMSO Kits" by the U.S. Air Force to provide RFeye nodes, antennas, software, and other equipment for 1 CMXS at Ramstein Air Base, Germany.
