About this file
Attachment 2 is a reference diagram for the fabrication of a Commander/Command Chief Alumni Wall of Honor for the 8th Air Force Headquarters at Barksdale Air Force Base. The document provides detailed specifications for two separate wall displays: the Commander's Wall and the Command Chief's Wall.
The Commander's Wall requires 68 picture frames arranged in two rows, with each frame measuring 10.5" x 12.5" and featuring frosted etched vinyl. The wall dimensions are 510" long by 52" high, with 6-inch brushed aluminum "COMMANDERS" lettering centered above the frames. The Command Chief's Wall will have 36 frames (19 in the top row, 17 in the bottom row) with identical frame specifications and a 16-inch control box located on the wall. Both walls will use a specific mounting technique with 1/4-inch standoffs, aluminum rods connecting frames, and a 3-inch gap between frames. The frames will be constructed using two acrylic panels to create a 1/2-inch thick panel with clear vinyl and frosted etching.
