APPENDIX A

Ellsworth AFB OS/WW Equipment Specifications

EQUIPMENT IN EACH OS/WW SYSTEM:

TAG CONTROLS: TAG designs and builds custom control panels to the needs of each site. Or in this case, each gate. This control panel will power the radar sensors, backlit sign, and touchscreen.

It will also house the Allen Bradley PLC.

ALLEN BRADLEY PLC: TAG has developed the most user-friendly and low maintenance system in the industry. Our Allen Bradley PLC, located in the controls enclosure, is programmed for the specific needs of each gate. These systems require no updating like a PC based system.

TOUCHSCREEN CONSOLE: A custom 7” touch-screen console is provided for each gate that alerts the guards to any WW/OS occurrence and allows for simple adjustments to system parameters. These consoles are not an application on a desktop, instead it is the interface between the guard and the PLC. This console requires no updating or peripheral programs to run it, resulting in a system that never lags due to aging software. The touchscreen console, like the backlit sign, will alert guards with visual and auditory alerts when a WW/OS has occurred.

BACKLIT SIGN WITH ANNUNCIATOR: These backlit WW/OS signs with annunciators are run on 24V power fed directly from our custom controls panel. They provide a visual and auditory alert to guards outside the guard booth. The touchscreen console in the guard booth will provide its own alerts.

RADAR SENSOR: We use the Stalker Speed Sensor. This is a top-of-the-line Doppler Radar in a small, rugged, waterproof, cast-aluminum housing that pulls cereal data into our PLC. The PLC system is what interprets this data and makes the determination if this vehicle is overspeed or travelling the wrong way and sounds an alarm accordingly.
