February 2026
1. BACKGROUND. The 9th Civil Engineer Squadron (CES) at Beale Air Force Base (BAFB) requires quarterly inspections, maintenance, and repair services for automatic doors located in seven
(7) facilities across the installation. The contractor shall be responsible for the maintenance of eight
(8) sets of Dual Sliding, Dual Swing and four (4) Single Sliding automatic doors, which include three (3) sets of dual sliding doors, five (5) sets (which consist of ten (10) doors total) of dual swing doors and four (4) single sliding systems. This scheduled service is essential to ensure the safe and reliable operation of facility access points. Properly maintained automatic doors are critical for providing unimpeded access for all base personnel, ensuring compliance with federal accessibility standards, and maintaining the security of the facilities. Neglecting this required maintenance can lead to unexpected failures, creating safety hazards and potentially costly emergency repairs that could disrupt mission-critical activities.
2. SCOPE. The Contractor shall provide quarterly inspection, preventative maintenance, and repair services to all automatic doors at Beale AFB, California, which can be found in Attachment 1 – List of Facilities, Frequencies, and Automatic Door Count. The contractor shall perform services that shall include, but not be limited to, procedures such as the inspection and lubrication of all mechanical components, testing of electrical systems, and the testing and calibration of all activation and safety sensors.
