About this file
This is a Price Proposal Breakdown template for use in Task Order pricing under an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract. The template provides standardized instructions and formats for contractors to submit detailed pricing for construction projects organized by CSI MasterFormat divisions. Contractors must break down costs into labor, material, and line item subtotals for each division, including General Requirements (Division 1), Existing Conditions (Division 2), and various construction trades such as Concrete, Masonry, Metals, Woods/Plastics/Composites, Thermal & Moisture Protection, Openings, Finishes, Fire Suppression, Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, and Communications (Divisions 3-27). The template requires contractors to reference RS Means abbreviations for units of measurement and mandates that unit pricing established at the IDIQ level be utilized when preparing Task Order proposals.
The pricing structure accommodates both General Contractor (GC) organic work and subcontractor costs, with separate columns for material and labor per unit and subtotals for each category. The proposal culminates in a total calculation that includes Division subtotals, GC Overhead (percentage-based), GC Profit (percentage-based), Bonds/Insurance (percentage-based), and a final Total Proposal amount. Task Order requirements not covered by the established unit price line items, particularly Division 01 and 02 requirements, will be negotiated separately at the Task Order RFP level by the Task Order Contracting Officer. This template is designed to ensure consistency and standardization across multiple task orders issued under the master contract vehicle.
