The Roadway Simulator (RWS), Drivetrain Durability Simulator (DDS), and Heavy Vehicle Durability Simulator (HVDS) facilities are unique facilities that are used to test vehicle stability, steering, braking, durability and acceleration for several U.S. Army land vehicles. This unique test facilities have large hydraulic systems that are precisely controlled. The hydraulic systems are cooled by evaporative cooling tower systems, and associated subsystems. The facility’s water systems require annual maintenance to provided efficient cooling.
1.2 SCOPE: This procurement is a non-personal services contract for maintenance of the RWS, DDS and HVDS water systems located at Aberdeen Test Center.
· Annual maintenance
The contractor shall provide labor and materials necessary to accomplish proper water treatment of the evaporative cooling tower systems, and associated subsystems of the ATC Roadway Simulator (RWS), Drivetrain Durability Simulator (DDS), and Heavy Vehicle Durability Simulator (HVDS) facilities. The contractor shall provide maintenance of all related equipment, emergency repair services, sample reports, and make any necessary adjustments. This treatment will ensure that there is no harmful bacteria, dissolved oxygen, acidity, or excessive alkalinity that can cause scale formation, corrosion, fouling, or become a breeding ground harmful bacteria that could harm personnel or equipment.
