About this file
This is a Sources Sought notice issued by the 42d Contracting Squadron at Maxwell Air Force Base, Alabama, seeking market research information to identify qualified vendors for a turnkey NIPR Virtual CORE Storage Hardware Upgrade for the 42d Communications Squadron. The Government is requesting information to finalize its acquisition strategy and explicitly states that this is not a solicitation—no proposals should be submitted and no contract will be awarded based on responses to this notice.
The requirement involves procurement, installation, and seamless integration of Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) storage hardware, specifically the HPE MSA 2070 storage arrays and HPE DL360 Gen 11 servers, with comprehensive integration services including project management, engineering design, physical installation, virtual environment data migration (VMware vSphere/vCenter), network configuration, system testing, and technical training. Vendors may propose alternative ("or equal") solutions only if they can demonstrate 100% compatibility and seamless native integration with the existing HPE infrastructure without causing mission degradation or requiring significant re-engineering. Respondents must provide company information, NAICS code classification (541519 with a 135-employee size standard), CAGE code, UEI, business type designation, and detailed technical capabilities addressing the specific requirements. Responses must be submitted via email by 12:00 p.m. Central Daylight Time on May 5, 2026, to 1st Lt John Putnam (john.putnam.8@us.af.mil, 334-953-8083) or Mr. Jeremy Kersey (jeremy.kersey.1@us.af.mil, 334-953-3526). The Government will not reimburse response costs, will not return submitted information, and will not consider oral submissions.
