About this file
This document is a detailed specification for drydock repairs for the USCGC AXE (WLIC 75D), a 75' inland construction tender homeported in Morgan City, Louisiana. The comprehensive specification covers 60 specific work items for both the tender and an accompanying barge, including hull plating inspections, preservation of underwater body surfaces, cathodic protection anode renewal, shaft alignment, sewage system cleaning, tank preservation, and various mechanical system maintenance tasks.
The drydock availability is scheduled for FY2025, with a performance period from December 2, 2025 to February 9, 2026 (69 days). The solicitation is a small business set-aside under NAICS code 336611 with a size standard of 1,300 employees, and will result in a firm fixed-price contract. Key technical requirements include comprehensive inspections and repairs of hull surfaces, piping systems, tanks, shaft seals, zinc anodes, and various mechanical components, with precise specifications for surface preparation, coating, testing, and restoration of the vessel's critical systems.
