About this file

This document is a set of construction plans for a wetland restoration project funded through the Agricultural Conservation Easement Program (ACEP) by the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service. The project is located in Monroe County, Illinois, in Sections 27 and 34, Township 4 South, Range 10 West, and is being implemented by producer APH.

The project encompasses three primary wetland cells with associated berms, spillways, and water control structures. Cell #1 requires 1,920 cubic yards of embankment earthfill, 19 cubic yards of cutoff trench earthfill, a 10-inch diameter PVC pipe (75 linear feet, SDR 21 or Schedule 40), an in-line control structure with 10-inch diameter and 14-inch weir length, two anti-seep collars (5 feet × 5 feet PVC or rubber), and one trash rack with animal guard. Cell #2 requires 4,150 cubic yards of embankment earthfill, 130 cubic yards of cutoff trench earthfill, a 10-inch diameter PVC pipe (96 linear feet), and similar control structures. Cell #3 requires 3,450 cubic yards of berm excavation, 3,730 cubic yards of rework berm fill, and 375 cubic yards of cutoff trench earthfill, with an 18-inch diameter helical aluminum pipe (70 linear feet) and in-line control structure. All cells include seeding requirements utilizing tall fescue, redtop, and alsike clover with 120 pounds per acre each of nitrogen, phosphate, and potash fertilizer, plus 2 tons per acre of lime. Straw mulch at 2,600 pounds per acre with straight disk anchoring is specified. Construction specifications and operation & maintenance procedures are detailed throughout the 41-sheet plan set, which includes the JULIE utility notification form and PCC (Private Contractor Clearance) documentation.
