About this file
This document is a Commercially Useful Function (CUF) Evaluation Form from the California Department of Social Services related to RFP 24-3003 for ICWA Training. The purpose of the contract is for a Contractor to develop curriculum and provide training sessions to tribal Indian Child Welfare advocates to strengthen their courtroom advocacy skills. The form outlines the requirements for a business to perform a CUF, which includes being responsible for executing a distinct element of the work, carrying out obligations through actual performance or management of the work, performing work that is normal for its business, being responsible for negotiating price and quantity of required products and supplies, and not subcontracting a portion of the work greater than normal industry practice.
The supplier must certify that it meets all five of the CUF criteria, which is then verified and certified by the buyer. This CUF evaluation is a requirement for small businesses, micro-businesses, and disabled veteran business enterprises participating in the ICWA Training contract with the California Department of Social Services.
