About this file

This is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act issued by the U.S. Department of Labor Employment Standards Administration Wage and Hour Division. The document establishes prevailing wage rates for service contract work performed in seven Minnesota counties: Aitkin, Cook, Itasca, Kanabec, Koochiching, Lake, and Pine.

The wage determination (No. 2015-4959, Revision 29, effective as of March 30, 2026) lists approximately 200 occupation classifications across multiple service categories including administrative support, automotive service, food preparation, furniture maintenance and repair, general services and support, health occupations, information and arts, information technology, instructional occupations, laundry and dry cleaning, machine tool operation, materials handling and packing, mechanics and maintenance and repair, personal needs occupations, plant and system operations, protective service, recreation, stevedoring and longshoremen services, technical occupations, transportation and mobile equipment operation, and miscellaneous occupations. Hourly wage rates range from $11.61 for waiter/waitress positions to $53.41 for nuclear medicine technologist positions. All listed occupations receive fringe benefits of $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours per week, $222.00 weekly, or $962.00 monthly), with an alternate rate of $5.09 per hour for employees on Service Contract Act-covered contracts also covered by Executive Order 13706 regarding paid sick leave. The determination also specifies vacation entitlements (two weeks after one year, three weeks after five years, four weeks after 15 years), minimum holiday requirements, and special pay differentials for hazardous work (4-8 percent), night and Sunday work for air traffic controllers and weather observers, and uniform allowances. Computer employees, air traffic controllers, and weather observers have footnoted exceptions with specific compensation thresholds and conditions for exempt classification.
