About this file

This is a Register of Wage Determinations under the Service Contract Act issued by the U.S. Department of Labor's Employment Standards Administration Wage and Hour Division for Michigan County of Wayne (Wage Determination No. 2015-4839, Revision 29, effective 12/03/2025).

The document establishes prevailing wage rates for service contract employees across numerous occupational classifications including administrative support, automotive service, food preparation, furniture maintenance, general services, health occupations, information technology, instructional positions, laundry and dry cleaning, machine tool operations, materials handling, mechanics and maintenance, personal needs, plant operations, protective services, recreation, stevedoring, technical occupations, and transportation/mobile equipment operations. Wage rates range from $13.65 per hour for entry-level positions such as assemblers and counter attendants to $52.92 per hour for registered nurses IV. All listed occupations require fringe benefits of $5.55 per hour (up to 40 hours weekly, $222.00 weekly, or $962.00 monthly) for health and welfare, with an alternative EO 13706 rate of $5.09 per hour available only for Service Contract Act-covered contracts also covered by EO 13706. Additional benefits include two weeks paid vacation after one year of service, three weeks after five years, and four weeks after fifteen years; minimum eleven paid holidays annually; and applicable hazardous pay differentials of 8 percent or 4 percent for positions involving explosives and ordnance handling. Computer professionals, air traffic controllers, and weather observers have specific footnoted exemptions and supplemental pay provisions. Contractors must furnish uniforms without cost or reimburse employees at $3.35 weekly, and unlisted classifications require conformance requests via SF-1444 forms submitted to the Department of Labor within thirty days of contract work commencement.
