Native Grass Seed

San Luis National Wildlife Refuge Complex

Supply Requirement

Location

The San Luis National Wildlife Refuge Complex (Refuge) Visitor Center and Headquarters Office is located approximately 10 miles north of Los Banos, California (Merced County).

Project Description

Furnish all equipment, supplies, labor, and materials to deliver approximately 525 lbs of mixed native grass seed to the San Luis National Wildlife Refuge. The Refuge can pick up within 20 miles of Los Banos, California.

Refuge Point of Contact (POC) Chris Harper, Project Leader. Prospective vendor may contact the Refuge POC by phone (209-587-5541) or email (chris_harper@fws.gov) for any questions or concerns in regard to coordinating delivery.

Supply Details

Provide the following quantities of native grass seed to the San Luis Refuge:

1. Elymus triticoides 145 lbs

2. Elymus glaucus 80 lbs

3. Hordeum brachyantherum 80 lbs

4. Festuca microstachys 220 lbs

This seed is to be planted at the San Joaquin River National Wildlife Refuge in Stanislaus County, California. Vendor shall provide the most appropriate ecotype available and include source collection information for each species. Seeds to be delivered in sealed bags weighing not more than 45 pounds.

All bags of seeds to be labeled with the species name and source information, and percent pure live seed.

The vendor will consult with the Refuge POC to package seeds in a mix so that they can be planted directly (i.e., loaded into a seed drill hopper).

On or before 12/1/2024.
