Questions and Answers

Question 1: Are there any certifications or other documentation required from the supplier to satisfy for delivery?

Answer 1: I would like to see PLS (pure live seed) and collection source certifications for the seed.

Question 2: Are there any delivery restrictions such as truck size at the facility?

Answer 2: No truck size restrictions

Question 3: Is the facility capable of receiving palatalized deliveries?

Answer 3: We have no loading dock, but can accept palletized deliveries if the truck has a lift/drop gate

Question 4: Does the seed need to be delivered all at once / approximate date(s) needed and does the location have the ability to accept pallets?

Answer 4: Seed does not need to be received all at once. We can accept pallets assuming they are delivered by a truck/van with a lift.

Question 5: What is the requested mix ratio ? (The vendor will consult with the Refuge POC to package seeds in a mix so that they can be planted directly.)

Answer 5: The seeds would be mixed according to the quantities requested in the Scope of Work:

Provide the following quantities of native grass seed to the San Luis Refuge:

1. Elymus triticoides 145 lbs

2. Elymus glaucus 80 lbs

3. Hordeum brachyantherum 80 lbs

4. Festuca microstachys 220 lbs

This seed is to be planted at the San Joaquin River National Wildlife Refuge in Stanislaus County, California. Vendor shall provide the most appropriate ecotype available and include source collection information for each species. Seeds to be delivered in sealed bags weighing not more than 45 pounds.

All bags of seeds to be labeled with the species name and source information, and percent pure live seed. The vendor will consult with the Refuge POC to package seeds in a mix so that they can be planted directly (i.e., loaded into a seed drill hopper).
