About this file

This Statement of Work (SOW) details an engine remanufacturing replacement contract for a John Deere 850K bulldozer at McConnell Air Force Base. The contract requires the contractor to provide all management, tools, diagnostic equipment, parts, mechanics, and transportation for replacing the dozer's engine. Specific requirements include ordering or having readily available OEM parts, replacing the complete reman engine, exhaust aftertreatment system, and drive sprocket, with transportation to and from Murphy Tractor for repairs.

The performance period is set for no more than 30 days after contract award, with a weekly status update requirement to primary contacts Kellie Smith or Chris Slifko. The vehicle currently has 849 engine hours and has been non-operational in the red horse yard. The parts list includes various components such as clamps, temperature sensors, repair kits, diesel filters, engine core, coolant, and break-in oil. Funding has been provided by VSCOS, and the contract is specifically scoped to work with Murphy Tractor, with warnings that alternative contractors could cause significant repair delays.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: The contractor shall provide all management, tools, all diagnostic equipment, supplies, parts or OEM parts, mechanics (personnel), transportation to location of repairs and transportation back to Vehicle Maintenance at McConnell AFB after the engine remanufactured (reman) replacement of John Deere 850K dozer is completed.

Funding has been provided by VSCOS for the amount that was provided on the quote given by Murphy Tractor. Any contractors outside of Murphy Tractor or any 10%-mark-ups will delay maintenance repairs as that contractor would have to come out and look at the loader on McConnell AFB and provide a new quote and what prices they would charge to ensure that proper funding is available and ensure that they understand what is needed. This would cause significant delays in the repair of the dozer and getting it back to CE in an appropriate amount of time.

PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE:

The performance period for this contract shall be no later than more than 30 days after the award of the contract. The engine reman replacement should not start until all parts have been ordered, received and ready for installation. The dozer should be picked up by the contractor by quote and should be scheduled within the time that the reman engine is ordered so it can be on site when the engine arrives. A weekly status update will be provided to primary contact about the vehicle.

The Contractor shall provide the necessary mechanics (personnel), labor, material, all diagnostic equipment, tools, parts or OEM approved parts, and parts installation, of all components listed on the vendor quotation. The contractor must either have access to be able to order needed parts or have them readily available. The contractor shall keep in effect all necessary permits, licenses, and insurance. All work shall be completed in accordance with all federal, state, and local regulations and the terms and conditions of this Statement of Work (SOW).

WARRANTY

1.1 Warranty: The contractor shall pass on all commercial warranties to the government. A copy of each warranty shall be furnished to the Contracting Office no later than the date of the final inspection.
