About this file

This is a Statement of Work for the removal of an old AV843 test stand and installation of a new HCT-12 test stand at Travis Air Force Base's 60 Maintenance Squadron Hydraulic Back shop, located in Room 502 of Building 46. The installation must comply with Technical Manual 122255-915 004 00 and will support aircraft component repair and testing operations.

The contractor is responsible for rerouting and reinstalling electrical conduit and plumbing connections to accommodate the new test stand's requirements. Electrical specifications include 400V, 3-phase, 60Hz, 300A power to be routed from an existing 480V junction box mounted 4.5 feet above ground to the top of the test stand, which will be positioned 6 feet from the wall and 7 feet high. The contractor must install conduit going up and over the top entrance, potentially requiring a metal framework support structure drilled into the floor. Plumbing requirements include rerouting chilled water supply and return lines from the building's existing closed-circuit water chiller to deliver 35 GPM at the test stand's top ports, located 7 feet along the wall, 6 feet from the wall, and 7 feet up. Additional utility connections required are shop air (filtered/dry air at 90 psi and 5 SCFM) and nitrogen (500-3500 psi). The point of contact is TSgt Mario Villeda at DSN 424-8575, commercial 707-424-8575, or mario.villeda@us.af.mil.

60 Maintenance Squadron Hydraulic Back shop Travis AFB HCT-12 Test Stand Install

Statement of Work (SoW)

Description: Remove Old Test Stand and Install HCT-12 test stand in accordance with Technical Manual 122255-915 004 00 to replace the old AV843 test stand.

The stand is to be installed in Room 502 of Building 46 (Travis Hydraulic Back shop) to support aircraft component repair and testing.

The new test stand is already in the building and will require electrical, shop air, and closed loop water cooling connection to the building. The previous test stand uses the same connections so there will already be conduits and plumbing to the wall, but installation will require rerouting the plumbing and electrical connections to the new test stand.

Contractor is responsible for rerouting and reinstalling the electrical conduit and plumbing in performance of the scope of installation.

Specifications: Electrical – 400V, 3 Phase, 60hz, 300A; Shop air – filtered/dry air at 90 psi and 5 SCFM; Nitrogen – 500-3500 psi; Cooling

– chilled water at 35 GPM.

Electrical: There is already a 480v junction box installed on the wall at 4.5' off the ground. The required labor is to reroute the existing wiring to enter the new test stand from the top, 6 feet away from the wall and 7 feet up. A conduit going up and over entering from the top (see drawing). A supporting structure may be needed, i.e. a metal framework with the conduit clamped to it and drilled into the floor in order to reach the top of the test stand.

Plumbing: There is already a closed-circuit water chiller installed in the building. The supply and return lines are installed/located behind where the new test stand will get placed. The water lines need to be rerouted to the ports on the new test stand, 7 feet along the wall from the supply and return lines, 6 feet from the wall, and 7 feet up to enter the top of the test stand. A supporting structure may be needed, i.e. a metal framework with the plumbing clamped to it and drilled into the floor in order to reach the top of the test stand.

Test Stand location: The test stand will be located in room 502, bldg.

46, 6 feet away from the wall.
