About this file

This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for the procurement and installation of mural protectors at the Naval Nuclear Power Training Command (NNPTC) facility in Goose Creek, South Carolina.

The contractor shall provide six heavy-duty protective coverings designed to shield custom painted murals located in BEQ (Bachelor Enlisted Quarters) lounges from accidental impacts, scratches, and vandalism while maintaining optical clarity and aesthetic appeal. Each protector must cover murals measuring approximately 7 feet high by 14 feet wide and be constructed from high-impact resistant, clear transparent material such as architectural-grade polycarbonate, Lexan, or heavy-duty acrylic. The material must feature anti-glare or non-reflective finish, be UV-resistant to prevent yellowing, and include tamper-resistant heavy-duty mounting hardware that secures the protector without damaging the underlying artwork. All materials must comply with DoD and NFPA fire safety standards, with routed, beveled, or framed edges to eliminate sharp hazards. The outer surface must be scratch-resistant and easily cleanable using standard DoD janitorial supplies without clouding. The contractor is responsible for coordinating delivery and installation schedules with the Government Technical Point of Contact (MMNC Hodges, Jonathan L, at 843-765-6937) and must perform all work Monday through Friday, 0600-1530 local time, excluding federal holidays. The contractor must remove all installation debris daily and perform final cleaning upon completion. All contractor personnel require compliance with standard DoD and local installation security regulations, including base access procedures and photography restrictions limited to pre-approved mural installation sites. Payment will be made via DFAS Electronics Funds Transfer through the Wide Area Work Flow (WAWF) System in arrears, requiring contractor registration in WAWF prior to payment processing.
