About this file
This is a Statement of Work (SOW) for DNA Extraction and Genotyping Services for Cotton. The contract requires the contractor to process approximately 8,000 freeze-dried cotton leaf tissue samples organized in ~85 standard 96-well microtiter plates. The samples originate from field collection and will have variable quality. The government will provide electronic metadata in Excel/CSV format containing sample identifiers, plate IDs, and relevant information with each batch of samples, and will coordinate all shipping arrangements to the contractor's facility.
The contractor must confirm sample receipt within 24 hours, report any shipping damage or discrepancies, maintain sample integrity and chain of custody throughout the engagement, retain samples for a minimum of one year post-delivery, and notify the government of any samples that fail quality control measures. The contractor is responsible for providing shipping instructions including facility address, packaging requirements, and a receiving contact to facilitate government delivery of the samples.
