Statement of Work (SOW) Ion Chromatograph Preventative Maintenance
GENERAL INFORMATION
1.0 Scope of Work: Provide a preventative maintenance and service agreement for the ion chromatograph at the United States Dairy Forage Research Center, Madison, Wisconsin.
2.0 Background: Ion chromatography is a means of profiling carbohydrates and amino acids in plant samples at higher throughput and with less pre-processing than other methodologies. Several projects at this location require profiling of sample composition. To ensure proper functioning and safety, these units require regular maintenance and replacement parts. Additionally, the time demand and sensitivity of the analyses this instrument performs requires minimized down time. For these reasons we seek a service agreement for our ion chromatograph.
CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS
3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks
Provide maintenance and service as needed for an ion chromatograph located at US Dairy Forage Research Center, 1925 Linden Drive, Madison, WI 53706. The unit to be serviced is a Thermo Fisher QUAT-QUAT, +DGAS, ICS6 and associated parts (Serial Numbers: 22066208, 22056351). The agreement must include:
• Base service agreement + 2 option years
• Field Service Engineer labor, travel, and parts required for Corrective Maintenance visits with a targeted response time of 3 business days
• Priority status for technical support inquiries with a targeted immediate response time. A certified service engineer will conduct diagnosis and corrective maintenance procedures using the latest digital remote support tools
• One (1) scheduled annual standard Preventive Maintenance visit
• Access to Unity Lab Services Online Knowledge Base
• 10% discount on spare parts (not covered by corrective maintenance), accessories, and consumables for the instruments covered under this contract and during the effective period of this contract
• Software and firmware updates upon request and in conjunction with a scheduled Preventive Maintenance or Corrective Maintenance visit
4.0 Government Furnished:
None
5.0 Deliverables / Schedule:
Preventative maintenance to be provided once per year during the contract period at 1925 Linden
Drive, Madison WI during normal business hours. Remote support service to be provided as needed within 24 hours of request during normal business hours.
6.0 Travel:
Service technician travel included in agreement
7.0 Contractor’s Key Personnel:
Service must be performed by original equipment manufacturer certified technicians.
8.0 Security Requirements:
Service technician will comply with building security requirements (sign in/out, be accompanied by DFRC personnel within building
