About this file
This Statement of Work details the requirements for an Automatic Dry Gas Evaporation System for the Aerospace Fuels Laboratory at Vandenberg Space Force Base. The system must use vortex action, nitrogen blow-down, and controlled heat to evaporate solvents for Nonvolatile Residue (NVR) determination, with capabilities to analyze product cleanliness levels according to specific ASTM and IEST standards. Key technical requirements include a system electronically configured for 115V single phase power, weighing less than 150 pounds, with dimensions under 25" deep, 25" wide, and 15" high, and a vortex motion capability up to 500 rpm.
The procurement includes sixteen graduated sample tubes, sixteen PTFE tube caps, two stainless steel sample tube racks, and electronic manuals. The system must be compatible with organic solvents like Ethyl Acetate and Methylene Chloride, have programmable temperature settings from 35°C to 99°C, and include a one-year warranty. Delivery and installation are required within 12 weeks after contract award to the Aerospace Fuels Laboratory at Vandenberg AFB, California. All products must be manufactured in a qualifying country source in accordance with DFARS 225.872, with products from non-qualifying countries being rejected at the contractor's expense.
