A04 STATEMENT OF WORK: INSTALL FLOORING AT OX RANCH HOUSE
1. BACKGROUND
Lake Mead National Recreation Area (LAKE) is a U.S. national recreation area in Southeastern Nevada and Northwestern Arizona. Operated by the National Park Service, Lake Mead NRA follows the Colorado River corridor from the westernmost boundary of Grand Canyon National Park to just north of the cities of Laughlin, Nevada and Bullhead City, Arizona. LAKE offers visitors with boating recreational activities and has marinas along the Colorado River south of the Hoover Dam. These marinas are operated by concessioners where they provide boat rentals and fuel. Because of this the marina has fuel lines that deliver fuel to the floating fueling stations for boats. The weather, sun, and movement of the docks deteriorate these lines requiring their replacement.
This project will replace two fuel ramp hoses, approximately 85’ of hose and incoming vault support lines at the Willow Beach Marina fuel dock. The old lines and system will need the fuel purged from them and the new lines and system will need to be purged of air. The fuel lines are 2” and of aircraft quality. One line is for regular fuel and the other is for premium higher octane. All work will need to ensure environmental compliance is followed and preventive measures are taken to eliminate the possibly of contamination of the natural waterways.
