Project IMPROVE Air Station Electrical Meter Installation

General Information

1.0 Scope of Work

The Forest Service (USFS) is looking to get an electrical meter installed at the IMPROVE Air Station site at the top of Mt Snow Resort in order to get an accurate reading of electrical usage.

2.0 Background

The IMPROVE Air Station site sits at the top of the Beartrap lift at Mt Snow. It is accessible via a 4x4 work road during non-snow months. The Air Station uses sensors, pumps and other devices to measure the air quality in the surrounding area for the EPA. In 2011 an E-Mon classic 5000 electrical meter was installed at the air station, but only lasted 6 months before an electrical surge ruined it. We want the new installation to provide accurate readings for the foreseeable future.
