Load on each arm shall be not less than 3,000 LBS.

g. Lowering Test, Brake only - The survival craft or rescue boat loaded with its normal equipment or an equivalent mass and a distributed mass equal to that of the number of persons, each weighing 75 KG, it is permitted to accommodate + 10% of the working load, should be lowered at maximum speed and stopped abruptly to demonstrate that the attachments of the davit and winches to the ship’s structure are satisfactory.

Load on each arm shall be not less than 7,260 LBS.

h Lifting and Lowering Speed - Verify system luffing speed from full inboard to full outboard, and from full outboard to full inboard; (3) Times.
