About this file

This is a Statement of Work for annual maintenance and repair services for five Qiagen QIAcube Connect instruments located at the US Arid Land Agricultural Research Center (ALARC) in Maricopa, Arizona. The five instruments requiring coverage are: QIAcube Connect MDx (Serial Number 30047, manufactured 2021), QIAcube Connect (Serial Number 2434, 2021), QIAcube Connect (Serial Number 2500, 2021), QIAcube Connect (Serial Number 3428, 2023), and QIAcube Connect (Serial Number 3455, 2023). These instruments are used to automate DNA and RNA extraction from insect samples and require yearly maintenance to prevent mechanical failures and costly repairs.

The contractor shall provide on-site inspection and maintenance of each instrument once annually, with optional on-site repair service available within ten business days when instruments require restoration. The contractor bears all costs for maintenance, repair parts, labor, and technician travel. All work must be performed by a Qiagen-specialized technician, preferably a Qiagen employee. A pre-agreement inspection may be conducted on the oldest units to confirm service agreement eligibility. The contractor shall provide the coverage period dates upon contract award and submit detailed reports of all maintenance or repair work within seven days to the Technical Point of Contact. The place of performance is on-site at US ALARC in Maricopa, Arizona. No government-furnished equipment or services will be provided, and HSPD-12 compliance is not applicable.
