About this file
This Statement of Requirements details microbial reduction equipment procurement for Maxwell Air Force Base's 908th Operations Support Squadron. The requirement is for 25 air purification units - 24 units covering 500 square feet and 1 unit covering 1,500 square feet - to be installed in building 1431. The CIMR 500 and CIMR 2000 models are the referenced brand names, with equivalent products acceptable if meeting specified technical requirements.
Key specifications include continuous air and surface sanitization technology that actively produces environmentally safe, nonozone-based disinfecting agents to eliminate multiple pathogens including viruses, bacteria, and molds. The units must be portable (under 40 lbs), operate quietly, plug into standard US electrical outlets, function safely in occupied spaces, require minimal maintenance, and operate independently of HVAC systems. The equipment must be brand new, come with standard manufacturer warranties, and be delivered/installed on the first and second floors of the specified building at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama.

Statement of Requirements Maxwell AFB - 908th OSS - Air Purifiers
1. 0 Purpose: This Statement of Requirements outlines the requirements for Microbial Reduction, Remediation, and Prevention to be implemented in building 1431 at Maxwell Air Force Base. The goal is to actively prevent and neutralize potentially hazardous or harmful particles from the air, surfaces, and furnishings through continuous neutralization of mold, viruses, germs, and bacteria with self-automated equipment.
This requirement is seeking a brand name or equivalent description. The brand name in question is the CIMR 500 model and CIMR 2000 model. If equal products are offered, they must meet the below minimum specifications.
CLIN Description Quantity Unit 0001 500 sq ft Air

0002 1500 sq ft Air Purifier (Para 3.1- 3.11)
1 Ea
2. 0 Description of items: the following are required for performance under this procurement.
The equipment must provide continuous infection, microbial reduction, active air and surface purification technology. Salient characteristics are as follows:
500 square foot air purifier specifications
2.1 Must be able to provide Air and Surface sanitization/microbial reduction technology equipment to prevent and neutralize mold, viruses, germs, and bacteria, and purify the air and surfaces for a room up to 500 sq ft
2.2 Air and Surface sanitization/microbial reduction technology equipment must actively produce environmentally safe, nonozone-based disinfecting agent from ambient air, to continuously eliminate or neutralize and combat transmission of mold, viruses, germs, and bacteria in the air and on surfaces, to include:
2.2.1 Bacillus subtilis (common infections)
2.2.2 Candida Albicans (fungi)
2.2.3 Escherichia Coli
2.2.4 H5N8 Virus
2.2.5 Influenzas
2.2.6 Listeria Monocytogenes
2.2.7 Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus
2.2.8 Norovirus
2.2.9 Pseudomonas aeruginosa
2.2.10 SARS-CoV-2
2.2.11 Streptococcus Lactis
2.2.12 Various molds, to include: Acremonium, Bacillus (Gram negative and Gram positive), Alternaria, Aspergillus, Aureobasidium, Chaetomium, Cladosporium, Fusarium, Mucor, Penicillium, Smuts/Myxomycetes/Periconia, Stachybotrys Chartarium (Black Mold), Synecphalastrum, Trichoderma, Ulocladium
2.3 Must actively fight air and surface pathogens while destroying associated odors while not relying upon ionization.
2.4 Must not require vacating of any personnel, furniture, or equipment as a condition of product effectiveness, operability, or safety. Emitted air from the portable units must be free from corrosive agents or negative byproducts. Must not have adverse effect on government facilities or fire and smoke detection systems. Product should be designed for residential use.
2.5 Must be safe for continuous use in occupied facilities while proactively preventing and neutralizing surface and air contamination of mold, viruses, germs, and bacteria on surfaces and in the air.
2.6 Must be portable. Unit must weigh less than 40lbs and be able to be easily transferred between locations. Unit must be a standalone unit that does not require any drilling or mounting.
2.7 Unit must be able to be plugged into a standard United States electric outlet and operate quietly indoors with limited disturbance.
2.8 Unit must be able to be turned on and left on with minimal human interaction.
2.9 Unit must have minimal and infrequent cleaning requirements that are no more frequent than one year under normal operating conditions.
2.10 Must be independent from building HVAC ducts and system with no requirement to interfere with or install components into the building HVAC system.
2.11 Must not only rely on passive disinfectants (such as technologies like HEPA filtration, UV-C light in upper-air units, or bi-polar ionization) that treat air only as it passes through the unit to kill, destroy, or neutralize mold, bacteria, or other pathogens.
