SAND Hydraulic Quonset Doors Specifications June 5, 2023

Hydraulic doors and walk-through door for metal round top Quonset.

1 16’ X 14’ Metal Door 1 12’ x 14’ Metal Door

Includes all metal framework, automotive paint, door cladding and trim.

Includes complete hydraulic system, including cylinders, hoses and pump. Ready for electrical connections.

1 Walk through door with framing and lockset

Delivery of materials to 55411 County Road W, Chivington, Colorado is included All labor is included.

Sand Creek Massacre NHS Scope of Work

Door Installation on Roundtop Quonset June 2023

The intent of this scope of services is for installing doors on roundtop Quonset at 55411 County Road W, Chivington, Colorado. Work shall include, but not limited to, the following:

Unless otherwise indicated, the contractor is responsible for furnishing all materials, equipment, labor and transportation necessary to provide the services described.

All work shall be performed by skilled professionals and shall be executed in a workmanlike manner in accordance with the best standards and practices of the trade.

Contractor shall complete all work and provide all materials, tools, equipment, and safety devices necessary to perform work in the proper manner within the time specified. Contractor shall complete the entire work to the satisfaction of the NPS and in accordance with the specifications herein described.

Contractor shall at its own expense, wherever necessary or required, provide safety devices and take such other precautions as may be necessary to protect life and property.

Normal Working Hours: 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Upon arrival Contractor’s personnel sign in with the Lead Maintenance Worker or person in charge.

NPS Responsibilities:

NPS will provide a building structurally capable to handle the door loads and with completed concrete floors. The rough opening will be prepared by NPS as specified in final measurement. The rough opening will be completed with the side columns plumb and the header level and straight. Any needed roof framing, wall girts, and cross bracing will be complete.

NPS will provide equipment capable of unloading door.

Contractor Responsibilities:

For the already completed concrete floors, the door installer will install anchor bolts and anchor plates.

Door side jamb trim installed prior to door installation.

Hydraulic oil will be available for pump installation. All horizontal wood girts, cylinders and hydraulic lines will be installed with the door. Metal girts should be provided in lieu of the wood girts if needed.

Doors will be installed according to industry standards and manufacturers’ specifications.

Any door trim and cladding must be sealed with a good quality sealant to prevent moisture from penetrating the door envelope.

Inspect the door to verify that the vertical margins are equal between the door and the building jambs.

Install service doors and door cladding.

Seal the door frame to building jamb materials with a color matching sealant.
