About this file

This document is a specifications attachment for a federal contract requirement detailing equipment procurement for spectroradiometric research capabilities.

The solicitation requires the acquisition of one Spectral Evolution NaturaSpec ULTRA spectroradiometer or equivalent unit. The instrument must meet precise technical specifications including a spectral range of 350-2400nm with spectral resolution less than 2nm at 700nm or below and no larger than 3.8nm above 2000nm. The equipment requires three detector arrays capable of operating across the full extended spectral range from 1000nm to 2500nm with short-wave infrared (SWIR) resolution, plus at least one detector operating in the 350-1000nm range for UV-NIR data collection. Additional technical requirements include noise equivalence radiance of 0.4x10⁻⁹ at 400nm, field-replaceable fiber optic cable, auto-exposure and auto-dark correction functionality, data acquisition software with automatic vegetation indices calculations, live field of view capability, GPS-linked photo documentation, distance sensor, inclinometer, and hyperspectral satellite/camera calibration capability for creating high-resolution field spectral libraries. The instrument must operate independently of a laptop with a portable controller featuring one-touch operation. The Additional Requirements section specifies that the vendor must provide an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) warranty on the instrument and supply an OEM-approved calibration kit capable of being completed by the end-user for annual calibration maintenance.

ATTACHMENT 1 SPECIFICATIONS

1.0 Specifications Description:

Spectroradiometer – Brand Name or Equal to Spectral Evolution NaturaSpec ULTRA

Quantity: 1

Unit Type: Each

Minimum Requirements:

Spectral Range: 350-2400nm, coverage of this range is what is required for the research plan.

- Spectral Resolution: <2nm @ 700nm or below, and also, no larger than 3.8nm resolution above

2000nm

- Detectors: Need 3 detector arrays; notably needing the detector arrays together to operate in the full extended spectral range from 1000nm to 2500nm with SWIR (short wave infrared resolution).

And need at least one detector to operate in the 350-1000 range using UV-NIR to collect the data needed for our ongoing and evolving research.

- Noise Equivalence Radiance: need <= 0.4x10-9 @ the low end of the spectral range at 400nm.

- Field-of-view: Need Field-replaceable fiber optic cable for long-term uninterrupted use.

- Auto-optimization: Auto-exposure and auto-dark correction for high signal-to-noise ratio.

- Data Acquisition Software with automatic calculations of vegetation indices

- Live Field of View.

-Photos need to be linked by GPS

- Distance Sensor

- Inclinometer

- GPS, need Hyperspectral satellite/camera calibration capability to create High-resolution field spectral libraries

- Portable controller with one-touch operation

-works independently of a laptop

2.0 Additional Requirements

An OEM Warranty on the Instrument

Annual Calibration shall use an OEM approved kit and capable of being completed by the End-User.
