About this file
This is a Requirements/Specification Document for a federal procurement by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
NIST's Communications Technology Laboratory, RF Technology Division, Guided Wave Electromagnetics Group (672.01) requires two Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) extender heads for WR6.5 with integrated micrometer-driven output attenuators and one WR6.5 calibration kit. The equipment must support measurements of integrated circuits containing millimeter wave filters and calibration structures across the 110 GHz to 170 GHz frequency range to support NIST's Innovation in Measurement Science Program. Item 1 consists of two WR6.5 Tx/Rx VNA Extender Head Modules requiring 110-170 GHz bandwidth, 120 dB dynamic range, 0.25 dB magnitude stability, 4-degree phase stability, 13 dBm maximum test port output power, and 30 dB directivity. Item 2 is one WR6.5 Calibration Kit (TRL type) containing two short circuits, two matched loads, one straight waveguide, and one quarter-wave shim. All equipment must include a one-year manufacturer warranty covering labor, parts, and cost/liability for returns. Vendors must possess an Export Control Classification Number (ECCN) and an active Unique Entity Identification Number (UEI) on SAM.gov at time of award. Delivery shall be made to NIST-Boulder, Attn: Nate Orloff, Mail Stop 672.01, 325 Broadway, Boulder, CO 80305. On-site acceptance inspection is required with NIST measuring S-parameters of the calibration kit with the extender heads, with acceptance expected to require 14 business days post-delivery.
