Additional required features include tilt steering, on-board closed mix system, spray-rate control systems, manual and hydraulic spray boom, cab filtration, boomless nozzles, hose reels, foam markers, and 31 X 15.5-15 tires. The hydraulic fluid must be Shell Donax® TD premium hydraulic fluid or Mobile-(424) for both drive and auxiliary systems.

Project Self-Propelled Sprayer

General Information Scope The USDA-ARS facility in Parlier, CA actively manages a robust breeding program for grapes, Prunus species, and citrus, covering approximately 100 acres of dedicated research and breeding fields. Effective and continuous weed control is essential across all acreage to support the program’s success. This acquisition seeks to obtain a contractor to purchase a HAV self-propelled sprayer from PBM Supply and Manufacturing Inc. to ensure efficient and consistent weed management.
