About this file

This document is a Requirements/Specification Document for an Electro-Optic Probe System 2, prepared by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). The solicitation seeks two specific items: an Optoelectronic Converter and a Single Axis Longitudinal Electro-Optic Electric Field Probe, both from BRAND NAME SEIKOH GIKEN USA, Inc. or an equivalent manufacturer. The Optoelectronic Converter must cover frequencies of 0.1-10 GHz, operate at an optical frequency of 1550 nm, have a single optical fiber input, and meet detailed specifications including dimensions, weight, power requirements, and performance characteristics.

The Single Axis Longitudinal Electro-Optic Electric Field Probe must be optical fiber connected with a 1-meter length, cover frequencies of 0.1-10 GHz, and have specific electric field strength dynamic ranges depending on frequency. The probe has a damage threshold of 50 kV/m and is constructed with ROHACELL L71HF casing material. Delivery is specified as 20 weeks After Receipt of Order (ARO) to the NIST-Boulder location in Colorado, with electronic manuals to be provided and acceptance expected within 7 business days. The solicitation is conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures with an unrestricted basis for the procurement.
