1.1 DESCRIPTION
A. Finished Water pumps at Katherine Landing have outlived their useful life. The purpose of this contract is to replace the Pump and Motor Equipment. Current Pumps/ Motors to be replaced are the following:
1. Qty 2, 40 Horsepower, 3 phase, 230/460 volts, 3560 rpm US Electrical motors, Sealed Bearings, no grease zerks. Model 6212-JC3
2. Qty 2, Peerless 8LB S/N 572434A, 575434B, 3 stage, 350 gpm @ 240 feet head, 6x6x12, Impeller dia 5.26x5.94, Impeller number 2626464 / LC
3. Mechanical seals for above.
B. The scope of work for this contract consists of:
1. Supply New pumps and Motors and seals
2. Deliver or ship the equipment to Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

C. The Contractor shall provide all materials to be purchased described in this specification. All materials shall be new and Contractor-furnished from outside the park.
1.2 DELIVERY REQUIREMENTS
A. Deliver or ship the equipment to the following address:
Lake Mead National Recreational Area 101 Katzenbach Dr Boulder City, NV 89005
B. On or before 90 days after receipt of order.
C. Delivery costs should be accounted for in the unit prices of the quoted items.
Delivery costs should not be quoted as a separate item.
1.3 REQUIRED ITEMS
A. Purchase and deliver the listed items. No installation of the product will be required under this contract.

C. Pumps shall be Peerless 8LB S/N 572434A, 575434B, 3 stage, 350 gpm @ 240 feet head, 6x6x12, Impeller dia 5.26x5.94, Impeller number 2626464 / LC or approved equal. Motors shall be 40 Horsepower, 3 phase, 230/460 volts, 3560 rpm US Electrical motors, Sealed Bearings, no grease zerks. Model 6212-JC3 or approved equal.
1. Supply new pump/motors and seals
2. Pumps and motors shall be assembled with mechanical seals in place and adjusted.
3. Deliver or ship the equipment to Lake Mead National Recreation Area.

D. The Units should have the following characteristics:
1. Motors will have sealed bearings
2. Motors will be high efficiency
3. Pumps will be rated for 350 gpm @240’ TDH
4. Must interface with existing electrical controls and plumbing assemblies
E. For each "Substitution" or "Comparable Product" the Contractor submits as being "equal" to the product that has been specified, the Contractor shall submit supporting documentation that includes:
1. Detailed comparison of the characteristics of the proposed item with that specified.
2. Name, address, and telephone number of vendor.
3. Product data, including drawings, descriptions, fabrication, and samples as appropriate.
