SPECIFICATIONS

Soybean Hulls FY21

1. Introduction: Scientists at the Roman L. Hruska U.S. Meat Animal Research Center (USMARC) are developing scientific information and new technology to solve high priority problems for the

U.S. beef, sheep, and swine industries. About 50 percent of the effort is with beef cattle, 30 percent with swine, and 20 percent with sheep. Soybean hulls are used in sheep and swine rations.

2. Scope: The Contractor shall provide soybean hulls in the description and quantity listed.

3. Technical Requirements: 350 tons of soybean hulls. Must be delivered to Feedmill

(USDA/ARS/USMARC; Clay Center, NE) in a belt trailer. Truck drivers will need to coordinate with USMARC personnel on delivery times and schedules but normal hours of 7:00am -3:30pm

Monday-Friday are anticipated. Each delivery to be approximately 18-20 ton per load, with the first delivery to begin 7/1/2021. Subsequent loads will be scheduled on an as-needed basis.
