About this file
This Statement of Work (SOW) from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA), part of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), details the procurement of eleven 4-wheel portability kits for Kubota GL11000/7000 diesel generators. The kits are designed for Staging Field Operations, a branch of the Logistics Operations Division, to provide reliable power sources during disaster response missions. The 4-wheel towable kits feature extra-wide tires for stability, a front axle steering unit, and a pull handle with tow hook for easy moving, enabling efficient transportation of 11KW generators in austere work environments.
The contract requires delivery within 60 calendar days to the DHS location at 501 West Felix Street in Fort Worth, Texas. Prior to delivery, the contractor must coordinate with the Government Point of Contact (POC), and any deliveries made without prior coordination will be rejected and must be resubmitted at the contractor's expense. The SOW emphasizes the critical nature of these equipment kits for supporting FEMA's field operations, particularly in rural areas where reliable power sources are essential for mission-critical job functions during disaster response efforts.

Statement of Work (SOW) For 4-Wheel Portability Kit For Kubota GL11000/7000 Diesel Generator
1.0 GENERAL
1.1 BACKGROUND
Staging Field Operations is a branch of the Logistics Operations Division that deploys, at a moment’s notice, to a variety of austere work environments to support state needs for commodities. Aside from trained personnel, an assortment of equipment is also sent to build out the staging yard. Given that some staging yards can be in often rural areas, it is imperative that there are reliable power sources for the team to use.
This purchase will provide a portable solution for reliable and sustainable power to the teams when performing their mission critical job functions during disaster response. These 4-wheel carts will have generators installed on them and be stored in our cargo trailers with the generators on them when not in use. When needed, the 4-wheel carts will be used to unload the generators so that the cargo trailer can be plugged into the generator to provide sufficient power to all staff working in the cargo trailer.
