STATEMENT OF WORK

1. SCOPE

1.1. YT-809 HVAC Installation and System Modification: Accomplish the rip-out, installation, testing and modification of HVAC chiller system and seawater cooling system as required.

1.2. Location of Work: Port side engine room compartment of YT-809.

1.3. Identification: (2) Technicold CW60DT Chiller Assemblies and associated seawater cooling system IAW S/A YT-0111D.

3. REQUIREMENTS

3.1. Prime contractors must possess a valid Merchant Mariner Credential with a Chief Engineer (Unlimited) endorsement and at least 10 years of merchant mariner experience.

3.2. Sub-contractors must possess or have possessed a valid Merchant Mariner Credential with a minimum endorsement of 3rd Assistant Engineer (Unlimited) and at least 10 years of merchant mariner experience.

3.3. Contractor must possess American Bureau of Shipping welding certification to perform weld work.

3.4. Prime contractor or sub-contractor must be currently certified by Northern Lights as a dealer that may provide services to the Technicold product line.

3.5. Remove, Install, and Test Equipment necessary to restore HVAC system.

3.5.1. Accomplish rip-out and removal of existing AC Chiller unit #1 (top) and AC Chiller unit #2 (bottom) IAW with the recommendations of 2.4.

3.5.2. Accomplish rip-out and removal of existing seawater cooling system items as detailed in 2.1.

3.5.3. Install new AC Chiller Units #1 and #2 as specified in 2.2

3.5.4. Install seawater cooling system mods IAW 2.1.

3.5.5. Test system IAW with 2.1.

3.6. Contractor must adhere to all the general, rip-out, testing, and cleaning notes included in 2.1.

3.7. Contractor must use ABS approved Copper Nickel Propress fittings in lieu of shipboard brazing.

4. RESPONSIBILITITES

4.1. Contractor will provide test results following completion of installation of HVAC chiller units aboard YT-809.

4.2. Contractor will begin work within 7 days of receipt of CW60DT chiller units.

5. DELIVERY / RETURN

5.1. Contractor will perform work at location of normal berthing for YT-809: Berth 4, outboard YC-1501 in the vicinity of building 238, Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
