STATEMENT OF WORK

Project: SIPR ROOM CABINETS

6th MXG/MXOP, MacDill AFB FL

GENERAL INFORMATION:

1.0 SCOPE OF WORK: To install commercial grade upper and lower cabinetry with wall-to-wall countertops and under-cabinet lighting to better utilize Group SIPR room which is currently cramped and unable to support 3 workstations running up to 12-hr shifts. Custom built-ins will provide ample, secure storage for CUI/FOUO, cables, papers, and supplies. It will also allow for TEMPEST safe distances to be maintained with COMSEC equipment.

Valance with LED strip lighting along all uppers will more light in small space. This project is for finish cabinetry, not furniture.

2.0 Background: Current SIPR room is utilizing normal furniture which is too large in SIPR room. SIPR room requires three workstations.

CONTRACTOR REQUIREMENTS:

3.0 Technical Requirements/Tasks: The unit needs 3 separate, custom fit work areas to be achieved with locking upper and lower storage (lower: file drawers, upper: shelves), counter top for computer hardware, cryptographic equipment, and note-taking, under-cabinet installed LED workspace lighting, with access/exposure to existing LAN ports, while offering enclosed storage for equipment and materials not in use (USB cables, networking cables, peripherals, paper, etc.). The cabinetry used should be constructed of heavy grade melamine or similar material--not pressed particle board typically found in cheap DIY furniture kits. The proposed cabinetry is to be affixed/installed to the supporting structure & not “free standing” furniture. There should be provisions to enclose or encompass a free-standing shredder and our industrial safe (dimensions provided) should be flush underneath the countertop. A large multi-function inkjet printer should be stored in one of the lower cabinets on a sliding shelf to be stowed and behind closed cabinetry doors when not in use.

The customer is not looking for: modular furniture, lockers, desks, soldering stations, booths, or other prefabricated furniture. This is for custom made built-in cabinetry and countertops.

4.0 Government Furnished: The unit’s proposal for the design has taken into account a TEMPEST certification that establishes the location of cryptographic equipment and telecom wiring which adheres to a minimum safe distance to assure emissions security (EMSEC).

The TEMPEST certification is contingent upon the exact location of the equipment in our plan. It is not possible to fundamentally alter the design of our proposal without invalidating our existing TEMEST certification. The proposed design has an operational requirement element that must be adhered to. The locations of LAN ports, power outlets and cryptographic equipment cannot be moved.

5.0 Deliverables/Schedule: Timely submission of deliverables is essential to successful completing this requirement.

6.0 Funds: Funds are available at this time.
