Statement of Work
Replace Doors at Spalding Visitor Center
1.0 Background: The Spalding Visitor Center acts as the main visitor contact station and park headquarters for Nez Perce National Historical Park located in Spalding, Idaho. The doors in the Visitor Center are well over 30 years old and are needing continual repairs to address the excessive use required of park operations and the weathering of the exposed exterior doors. The major objective of this project is to replace the worn-out doors in the facility while addressing durability, accessibility, and fire prevention. Project includes the replacement of exterior and interior doors some of which will require automatic openers for accessibility, electromagnetic door lockers and holders, key fob entry, and storefront style aluminum door replacement. When accomplished this project should improve the access of the facility, help prevent the spread of fire, and provide dependable security and function that the park expects from its’ facilities doors.
Visitor Center is located at 39063 US Hwy. 95 Spalding, Idaho 83540, 11 miles south of Lewiston, Idaho.

Single door replacement will be comprised of the office entrance door (electromagnetic fob activated locker) and the two stairwell doors which need to be replace with galvanized fire rated doors and door jambs. Lastly, the two double doors at the downstairs entrance will need to be replaced with galvanized steel doors with viewing windows, pull handles, touch/panic bars, assisted openers, and electromagnetic lockers that are fob activated.
