TREASURY COMMON SERVICES CENTER
Statement of Work - DRAFT
1.0 Background
The Group of Twenty (G20) is a forum for international economic cooperation among the world's leading economies. The G20's purpose is to coordinate macroeconomic policy and financial responses, and to shape global governance on major economic issues.
The G20 was founded in 1999 after the Asian financial crisis as an informal forum for the Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors of large and systemically important advanced and emerging economies to discuss international economic and financial stability issues. The G20 members represent around 85% of global output, over 75% of global trade, and about two-thirds of the world's population. G20 members meet regularly to discuss a range of issues, including macroeconomic and financial policy. The G20 does not have a permanent secretariat or staff. Instead, the G20 Presidency rotates annually among the member countries.
The United States assumed the Presidency on December 1, 2025, through its December 2026 Summit. During its Presidency, two tracks will run separately: the Sherpa Track and Finance Track. The U.S. Treasury Department and the Federal Reserve Board of Governors co-host the Finance Track. This will include a series of meetings to include deputies’ meetings and one ministerial meeting.
This Statement of work will cover the Finance and Central Bank Deputies and Finance Ministers and Central Bank Governors Meeting in Asheville, North Carolina.
