About this file
This Scope of Work (SOW) details a tree procurement project for the Eisenhower National Historic Site in Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. The National Park Service requires a contractor to locate, purchase, and deliver 91 trees across three categories: 58 crabapple trees (replacing existing Malus 'Hopa' trees), flowering trees (including peach, purple-cherry plum, and Kwanzan Japanese cherry), shade trees (Princeton/Jefferson elm and Greenspire linden), and conifers (Norway spruce and Eastern white pine). Trees must be 6-7 feet tall, meet ANSI Z60.1 nursery stock standards, and be disease-resistant, with specific requirements for root system, trunk, and branch structure.
Key performance details include delivery between October 7-24, 2025, with a 90-day maximum delivery window after order receipt. The contractor must submit photographs of proposed crabapple varieties for approval, ensuring they match the characteristics of the existing 'Hopa' trees. The park reserves the right to inspect and reject trees that do not meet specified quality standards. Final acceptance will be granted only when all requirements are completed to the satisfaction of the Contracting Officer, with a warranty period beginning on the final acceptance date.
