About this file
This document is a Single Source Justification for a simplified acquisition under the Simplified Acquisition Threshold (SAT) for a Getinge brand 1101 ultrasonic cleaning system for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) Martinsburg, WV Medical Center.
The requirement is for the purchase of one new countertop ultrasonic cleaning system and related accessories, including installation, to support the Sterile Processing Service (SPS) department. The VA has determined that only the Getinge brand 1101 model will meet their requirements due to compatibility with existing equipment, workflow, and policies. The estimated value of the procurement is under $250,000. The VA conducted market research and found that Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSBs) can provide the required ultrasonic cleaning system, so the procurement will be set aside for SDVOSBs.
