Project Overview Location and Facilities Fossil Butte National Monument (FOBU) is near Kemmerer, Wyoming, north of Interstate 80 on U.S. Highway 30. The monument is a day-use area; overnight accommodations are available in Kemmerer and Diamondville and camping is allowed on adjoining Bureau of Land Management (BLM) public lands. National monument facilities include the visitor center, two self-guided interpretive hiking trails, a picnic area, maintenance building, seasonal housing duplex, and a 7.5-mile scenic drive. Many visitors stop at the national monument enroute to Dinosaur National Monument, Yellowstone National Park, or Grand Teton National Park.

This project takes place in the FOBU housing duplex located at 1129 County Road 300 Kemmerer, WY 83101. The building where work will be performed is a duplex that will require two separate units operating off two separate water supply hookups and two separate electricity meters. Each unit will be supplying the needs of one apartment. Each apartment is two bedrooms, two bath, with kitchen, dining, and common room and is about 1000 ft². Park staff refer to each apartment geographically east and west. For this SOW, the work in each apartment is the same and these terms are only necessary for order of work.

Project Description This Scope of Work (SOW) is for the replacement of existing furnaces and water heaters as well as the install of Heating, Ventilation, and Air-conditioning (HVAC) systems at the FOBU housing duplex.
