About this file
This document is a Salient Characteristics specification for a MAKO SCBA Breathing Air Compressor (Model BAM07H) for Keesler Air Force Base. The detailed requirements specify a compressor capable of producing 6000 psi and 20.7 CFMs, with 208/230/460 volts, 3-phase electrical drive, and a 4-stage compressor block. Key features include an operations panel with illuminated controls, emergency stop button, hour meter, shutdown light package, electric CO and moisture monitor, and a NEMA designed 15 hp electric motor.
Additional requirements include a fully enclosed sound-attenuating enclosure (under 80 dba), ability to dispense Grade D and E air quality, 5 hinged maintenance inspection doors, and UL listing. The compressor must integrate seamlessly with an existing MAKO Bottle Fill Unit and comply with OSHA 1910.134 and NFPA 1989 standards. A comprehensive training program for four people, including 2 operating manual copies, is mandated. The unit comes with a 5-year or 1,000-hour standard warranty, with approximate dimensions of 66¼" height, 33½" width, and 42" depth.
