This document is a Salient Characteristics specification for a Double Flare machine for the 36th Maintenance Squadron at Andersen Air Force Base in Guam. The specification outlines 11 detailed requirements for the machine, including its ability to produce single and double-lap flares and upset beading on various metal tubing types (aluminum, steel, CRES, and titanium). Key technical specifications include maximum dimensions of 36in x 24in x 48in, pneumatic or hydraulic power, capacity to work with tubing sizes ranging from 1/8in to 3/4in OD, and the ability to produce flaring angles of 37 and 45 degrees in accordance with Military Spec 33583. Additional requirements mandate that the machine be single lever operated, constructed from corrosion-resistant material, and include an operation and maintenance manual.
