The requirement is for four complete modular industrial workbench systems to replace existing work centers workstations and support component-level electronic repair operations. These workbenches shall function as primary diagnostic, troubleshooting, inspection, repair, soldering, rework, and restoration stations for aircraft electrical and electronic components, support equipment items, shop-owned equipment, and other authorized repairable assets from across the installation. The workstations shall be suitable for daily use in an aircraft maintenance support environment and shall provide the durability, organization, security, ESD compatibility, and modularity required for our technicians performing precision miniature and microscopic electronic repair.

Each workbench shall provide a minimum work surface width of 2450mm with a max of 2550mm and a minimum work surface depth of 800mm with a maximum of 1000mm to ensure adequate space for circuit card assemblies, aircraft components, test equipment, soldering tools, microscopes, technical data, repair documentation, parts staging, and technician workflow without over crowding our work center. The work surface must support a minimum static load capacity of 200kg at the unsupported center span to safely hold heavy diagnostic equipment and aircraft components. The work surface shall be an industrial-grade dark grey Eterlux or an equivalent durable surface, and shall be compatible with ESD-safe work practices. The surface shall be appropriate for precision electronics repair, repeated daily use, component handling, inspection, troubleshooting, and bench-level maintenance tasks. The work surface shall allow for up to a sustained 350 degree Fahrenheit, and a heat resistance at least up to 530 Fahrenheit for brief instances. Consumer-grade desks, office furniture, wood-grain finishes, gaming desks, or non-industrial work surfaces shall not be acceptable.

Each workstation shall include two integrated base support cabinets positioned beneath the work surface, one on the left side and one on the right side. The cabinets shall provide both structural support and secure storage for tools utilizing RFID, test equipment, soldering accessories, consumables, parts, adapters, cables, technical support items, and other work center equipment. Each cabinet shall include lockable pullout drawers suitable for tool control, equipment accountability, storage organization, and daily use in a maintenance environment. These drawers must feature a minimum dynamic load capacity of 60kg per drawer in the fully extended position to prevent tipping or track-failure when storing heavy tooling. The left and right cabinets shall mirror each other in design and layout to maintain standardization across the workstation and provide a clean, professional appearance. Each cabinet shall not exceed 580 mm in width and shall have a minimum exterior height of 850 mm, providing a minimum 1300mm unobstructed knee space between the base cabinets to allow safe technician mobility and positioning.

The workstation shall be provided in a coordinated industrial color configuration that supports the work center modernization requirement. The workbench top surface shall be dark grey Eterlux or equivalent. The exterior structure of each base cabinet shall be RAL 2004 orange or an equivalent approved orange industrial finish, and the drawer fronts shall be black. The rear-mounted support structure, including vertical posts, mounting supports, rails, shelf supports, brackets, and similar structural accessories, shall be RAL 2004 orange or equivalent. The pegboard, perforated panel, back panel, or equivalent rear mounting surface shall be black. Mounted accessories, including shelves, rails, bins, holders, brackets, and organizational components, shall be RAL 2004 orange or equivalent when available.

Each workstation shall include a rear-mounted support structure for accessories, organization, and repair support equipment. This superstructure must mount directly to the desktop and not floor-mounted, with a maximum height of 800mm to comply with facility spatial constraints. The rear support posts mounted to the back of the workbench shall be RAL orange, matching the cabinet exteriors. The rear pegboard, perforated panel, back panel, or equivalent mounting surface shall be black to match the drawer fronts. Accessories mounted to the rear panel system, including shelves, holders, brackets, bins, rails, or equivalent workstation accessories, shall be RAL orange or an equivalent matching orange finish when available. This orange-and-black configuration is requested to create a cohesive, standardized, high-visibility workstation appearance across all four benches.

The rear support system shall allow the workbench to organize equipment, parts, accessories, technical data, test equipment leads, lighting, and other repair-support items without cluttering the primary work surface. The rear panel shall support modular attachment of accessories and shall allow the workstation to be reconfigured as our workloads, equipment, and repair priorities change. The system shall support current and future installation of items such as overhead shelves, perforated tool panels, accessory rails, parts bins, cable holders, document holders, monitor supports, microscope accessories, task lighting, and other bench-mounted support equipment. The workstation shall be delivered as an integrated modular system rather than a combination of unrelated desks, cabinets, and storage products.

Each workstation shall support ESD-safe electronic repair operations. The workbench shall be compatible with ESD matting, grounding points, wrist strap connections, common point grounding, and integrated or future ESD monitoring provisions. The workstation shall allow technicians to safely handle ESD-sensitive electronic components, circuit card assemblies, avionics items, and other sensitive repairable assets without major modification after installation. The design shall support soldering, rework, inspection, testing, component replacement, failure analysis, and other precision electronic repair tasks commonly performed in an electronic repair environment. Minor modifications are expected to be able to comply with T.O. 00-25-234 Chapter 7.

Each workstation shall support microscope-based repair and inspection. The bench shall provide adequate space and mounting capability for electronic repair microscopes, microscope arms, stands, or equivalent support equipment. The layout shall allow the technician to use microscopes and move them out of the way when not in use, test equipment, soldering tools, technical data, parts, and repair documentation at the same station without overcrowding the work surface or interfering with safe component handling. The workstation shall support detailed inspection of circuit cards, small components, solder joints, connectors, wiring, and other precision repair items.

Each workstation shall support organized power access and cable management. The system shall provide or support provisions for bench-level power distribution, cable routing, cord management, and separation of cords from active repair areas. The design shall reduce cable clutter, snag hazards, trip hazards, and interference with repair operations. Power and cable management features shall help maintain a clean, organized, professional, and inspection-ready work area while supporting the safe operation of test equipment, soldering stations, lighting, monitors, microscopes, and other bench-level electronic repair equipment.

The workbench systems needs to support secure storage, tool control, and controlled access to the work centers equipment. Each workstation shall include lockable drawers for organizing hand tools, soldering supplies, test leads, small parts, adapters, consumables, repair accessories, and other various support items. The storage system shall support labeling, inventory control, rapid access to commonly used items, and accountability of work center equipment while maintaining a clean, professional appearance suitable for quality assurance inspections, customer visits, leadership walk throughs, and high-visibility demonstrations of our work centers capability.

Each workstation drawer system shall include integrated RFID security on all drawers for strict tool accountability, with backup keypad entry and physical key override. The RFID system shall include, at a minimum, two administrative RFID badges capable of accessing all workbench cabinets and drawers. The system shall also include at least eight user RFID cards, with two cards assigned per workbench, and each pair of cards shall be programmed to access only its respective workstation drawers. This access configuration is required to support controlled tool and equipment access, improve accountability, reduce unauthorized entry into assigned storage, and maintain continuity of operations if RFID access is unavailable through the use of keypad and physical key backup methods.

All four workstations shall be standardized in layout, dimensions, color scheme, storage configuration, RFID access capability, modular accessory support, and overall appearance. Standardization is required to improve technician familiarity, repair efficiency, work center organization, tool accountability, inspection readiness, and long-term sustainment. A common configuration across all four benches will allow our technicians to move between stations with minimal workflow disruption while preserving controlled access to assigned storage and providing a consistent professional presentation throughout the work center.

The workbenches shall also support a directed effort from our leadership to transform the work center into a professional, visually distinctive, high-visibility technical repair showcase for the Maintenance Group. The work center is being modernized to highlight the shops technical expertise, innovation, local repair capability, and value to the unit. The workbenches are not only functional repair stations; they are the key visual elements to our work centers transformation. The requested orange-and-black configuration, modular accessory system, and standardized layout are essential to achieving the directed visual presentation while maintaining full mission capability.

The selected workstation system shall present a clean, modern, technical, and professional appearance suitable for hosting visitors, customers, mission partners, and leadership. The workbench design shall help communicate that the sole specialized electronic repair capability rather than a generic maintenance storage area and or other maintenance facilities on the installation. The visual configuration shall support the broader work center modernization plan by creating a distinctive technical environment that reflects innovation, precision repair, and professional maintenance execution.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Preference is given to a workstation system consistent with equipment used in the miniature and micro soldering certification or training environments, as familiarity with the layout, modularity, and workstation capability reduces transition risk and supports immediate operational use. A familiar industrial workstation system also supports continuity with established local practices and reduces the need for local modification, workaround solutions, or technician adaptation after installation.

The workbench systems shall be capable of installation within the existing work center layout as complete workstation systems. The benches shall support integration of power, lighting, ESD controls, microscopes, technical data, test equipment, tools, parts organization, and modular accessories without extensive local fabrication. The final installed configuration shall provide a complete operational repair station and shall maintain a consistent finished appearance across the work center.

Any proposed product must meet or exceed the complete requirement for industrial durability, minimum work surface dimensions, integrated lockable storage, secure pullout drawers, ESD compatibility, microscope support, modular rear accessory support, power and cable management, standardized configuration, and long-term maintenance-environment suitability. Any equivalent product must also meet the required visual configuration, including a dark grey industrial work surface suitable for durability mentioned before, orange cabinet exteriors, black drawer fronts, orange rear support posts, a black pegboard/back panel or equivalent mounting surface, and orange mounted accessories when available.

Products that provide only general bench space, basic storage, office-style furniture, or non-industrial workstations shall not be considered technically acceptable. A technically acceptable solution must meet the full combined requirement for our electronic repair operations, secure tool and equipment organization, ESD-safe work, modular repair support, professional standardization, and our leadership directed visual modernization of the work center.
