About this file

This document is a salient characteristics specification for a Counter-Unmanned Aircraft System (C-UAS) handheld device. The requesting party seeks to procure three handheld devices capable of detecting and defeating commercial drone threats. The devices must be compact, lightweight, and cost-effective solutions that integrate multiple counter-drone capabilities.

The specified requirements include a maximum weight of 10 pounds including battery, with certification and approval for both military and civilian transport. Operational performance mandates external power capacity of 60+ minutes for jamming functions and 10+ hours for detection capabilities. The devices must support fixed-site mounting point options and incorporate Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS) jamming and navigation frequency capabilities using directional emissions to minimize unintended GNSS disruption, with optional hardware disabling for unauthorized users. Additional functional requirements include spoofing capability to interdict waypoint-controlled drones, line-of-sight effectiveness, and environmental compliance meeting MIL STD 810 testing standards with IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. The warranty support requirement is listed as N/A.
