About this file
This document provides specifications for an aircraft potable water disinfection system. The system must be trailer mounted with a 110 VAC power source and 100 foot retractable power cord. It uses an active side stream injection system to disinfect water between 3.5 and 30 gallons per minute at pressures from 10 to 100 psi using ozone gas without any chemicals. The ozone system must be EPA approved and FDA compliant with an output of 70 grams of ozone per hour. The enclosed unit requires no water reservoir or scheduled maintenance. It must successfully disinfect water for a Boeing 767 aircraft in under 60 minutes for a 60 gallon tank.
The related federal contract opportunity is a solicitation from the Department of the Air Force Air Education and Training Command for an ozone cart meeting the specifications provided.
