About this file
The document is an Attachment 1 Salient Characteristics specification for an Ergo Performance System, detailing precise requirements for a tactical load-bearing vest/carrier system. The specifications call for 450 units of a high-performance carrier meeting MIL-DTL-32439 Type 3, Class 3 standards, constructed from 500-denier nylon with key features including moisture-wicking spacer mesh, integrated laminate backing, multiple shoulder-harness attachment points, adjustable straps, padded lumbar support, and active ventilation. The carrier must accommodate plate inserts up to 30 lbs, weigh approximately 20 oz, feature MOLLE webbing compatibility, and be available in MultiCam color with a one-size-fits-all adjustable sizing mechanism.
The related federal contract opportunity is a Request for Information (RFI) issued by the 30th Contracting Squadron at Vandenberg Space Force Base, focusing on market research for a potential apparel manufacturing procurement. The RFI targets businesses in the North American Industry Classification System Code 541330 with a size standard of 600 employees, seeking to determine small business participation potential. Interested vendors are encouraged to demonstrate their capabilities by emailing Noah Blake and Chris Hummel with company details, including firm name, cage code, small business status, and relevant qualifications. The RFI emphasizes that this is a preliminary information-gathering step and does not guarantee future solicitation.
