About this file

This document outlines the Salient Characteristics for the 91st SFG Communication Headset Kit. The 91st SFG requires 50 headset kits to support communication in various vehicles, including JLTVs, helicopters, and bearcats, where excess noise can hinder communication. Each kit must include a communication headset with over-the-head band, a 5-channel adapter cable, a 2-3 channel push-to-talk, Motorola APX radio and PRC 152/152a radio connection cables, and a helmet mounting kit compatible with the ArmorSource LGD Sniper Gen II and Team Wendy Exfil ballistic 3.0 helmets. The kits must have an estimated Noise Reduction Rating (NRR) of 23dB and a low profile to fit under the specified ballistic helmets. This requirement is part of the Federal Contract Opportunity F3CTSG4213AW03 issued by the Department of the Air Force Global Strike Command.
